🧮 Scientific Calculator

A full-featured scientific calculator with trigonometric, logarithmic, and exponential functions — all in your browser, no install required.

About the Scientific Calculator

This scientific calculator runs entirely in your browser. Use it for everyday arithmetic plus trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan), logarithms (log base 10, natural ln), square roots, powers, and the constants π and e. Every computation happens locally with JavaScript — nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.

Supported functions

  • Trigonometric — sin, cos, tan (angles in radians).
  • Logarithmic — log (base 10) and ln (natural log, base e).
  • Roots and powers — √ (square root), x² (square), x^y (arbitrary power using ^).
  • Constants — π (pi ≈ 3.14159…) and e (Euler's number ≈ 2.71828…).
  • Basics — +, −, ×, ÷, parentheses, decimal point, sign toggle (±).

How to use

  1. Tap the digit and operator buttons to build your expression in the display.
  2. Tap a scientific function (e.g. sin) to insert sin( — then type the value and close with ).
  3. Press = to evaluate. The result replaces the display and is added to history.
  4. Use C to clear the display and ← to delete the last character.
  5. The last 10 calculations are kept in the history panel below the keypad.

Frequently asked questions

Are angles in degrees or radians? Trigonometric functions use radians, which is the standard for JavaScript's Math library. To convert degrees to radians, multiply by π/180.

How are large or small results displayed? Results are rounded to 10 significant figures for readability. Very large or very small numbers may appear in scientific notation.

Is the calculator safe to use? Yes. Expressions are sanitized and evaluated through a restricted evaluator. No eval of arbitrary code, and nothing leaves your device.

Can I copy a result? Yes — press Copy result to copy the current display value to your clipboard.
